Isonil is a classically trained violinist and creative director reshaping how audiences hear strings in Africa. A 2013 graduate of the MUSON Diploma Programme, he has performed across Nigeria, the UK, and Germany, building a reputation for technical precision, expressive feel, and a signature tone that moves effortlessly between Baroque counterpoint and Afrobeats rhythm.
Onstage, he has played at major venues including the O2 Arena and Wigmore Hall and performed in Germany at Heidelberg Castle. As Founder and Music Director of Perfect 4th Ensemble, he curates immersive live experiences and champions musical excellence in Nigeria. In the studio, his strings have contributed to projects by some of Africa’s biggest artists, giving many tracks their emotional core.
In 2023 he launched Harps Nigeria after commissioning a bespoke harp in Austria — an initiative to introduce climate-optimized harps to West Africa and expand harp education through teacher training and scholarships.
Founded by Isonil, Perfect 4th Ensemble is one of Nigeria’s premier string groups — known for lush arrangements, tight ensemble playing, and stylish production for events and recordings.
